We went to Oxford several days before Christmas and played around town, visiting friends, eating at Taylor and hanging out with aunts, uncles and cousin Hayes. The weather was mild and a nice change from our snow and ice storms we had before we left Lexington. We did wake up Christmas morning with a white Christmas. I think Santa brought the snow since he also brought the boys snow shovels and sleds. We got up that morning and did Santa gifts, played in the snow and rode the sled. Jeremy got brave. I love the second picture of Joseph. He is laughing at Jeremy falling. Once we showered (the adults) and changed into dry pajamas (the boys), the rest of the family arrived and we ate breakfast. Then more gifts. Joseph learned and understood this year all about presents. He had so much fun opening presents and seeing what was inside. Luke was very excited with each present and gave hugs after each gift. It was a fun and exciting time for us as parents to watch the faces of the boys.

The boys loved their shovels. It didn't take Luke long during the snowball fight with Jeremy to pick up his shovel and throw shovel full of snow at him. Smart kid!We didn't plan on snow, so we didn't pack and bring our gloves, hats, snow boots and snow suits.
Our pajamas, fleeces and cowboy boots work just fine, though.

New bean bags from Reese and Nebo have been a big hit.
Reese got the boys a last minute gift. Cowboy boots. We thought that Joseph's were going to be too small, so we tried them on Wednesday before Christmas. We were planning on returning them to get the correct size. Well, they ended up fitting and we couldn't get them off him. He wore them straight for a week including sleeping in them. Several times at night before I went to bed, I would sneak into the boys room and take off Joseph's boots. A couple of times, Joseph woke up in the middle of the night and put them back on. He still loves to were them but since it has snowed again, he has started wearing his snow boots.

Later Christmas afternoon/evening we went to the Hollis's to ride Hayes's new tractor. The boys loved it. Joseph loved Hayes's four wheeler even better.
