Happy Birthday Thomas!

Happy Birthday Thomas!  Friday was Thomas's first birthday.  I really don't know how this past year has gone by so fast.  In this past year, Thomas started by fitting right in and being adored by his big brothers.  He then welcomed his younger cousin Lucy 2 weeks later, then Sloan 9 weeks later and Cobb almost a year later.  He is the happiest baby, great eater, not so good sleeper and very easy going and laid back.  He loves to play with toys (any but really likes Luke's little ones), explore, read books and make messes.  He has started walking around 11 months and has really gotten more stable and good at walking around.  He now walks from room to room.  He has 8 teeth and curls on the back of his head.  He pretty much has a smile on his face all the time.  He loves playing and watching his brothers but really adores Luke because Luke adores him just as much.  He loves being outside and playing in the grass.  He is such a sweet and loving little one.  You are such a wonderful blessing to us that lights up our days. We love you to the moon and back.

We had cakepops that a friend made and cupcakes.

Not only did he love the tissue paper but the toys inside.  He would immediately start playing with each toy.

Enjoying some lunch.
Cake time.  He just kept laughing and clapping.

 Pre-cake pictures.

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us.  It was a fun and special day.

Happy Birthday Luke!

My little boy turned 3! The other day, I realized I have a little boy, not a baby, not a toddler, but a little boy. What a wonderful little boy he is. I started thinking about fun things he has done or said over the past years. Here is the list I came up with:

Tank you for da bood.-Thank you for the food- his dinner prayer

Baby Damn- Baby Graham

Baby Walter- Baby Walker

He loves movies, music, playing instruments, playing outside, painting, swimming, reading, building with blocks, among many other things. He developed a fascination in Pirates, Spider Man and Cars (as in the talking variety from the animated movie). He has never seen Spider man or a pirate movie, so I really don't know where that came from.

Friday was his birthday. Reese was in town to help celebrate. He started the morning opening presents. He got a scooter, which he had to go outside right away to ride. He got a helmet, too. It was too small so later we exchanged it. He wore the new one the rest of the day along with the knee pads and elbow pads.

The circus was in town this weekend, and Friday afternoon we went to see the elephants. Luke was very excited until he saw the clowns. They scared him so bad that he wanted to go home. Finally, they moved far enough away for him to calm down and watch the elephants walk down the street and into the park. Friday evening, Luke helped make the cupcakes and cake for his party. Like I said before, he wore his helmet, knee pads and elbow pads all afternoon.

Saturday, Luke had a pirate party to celebrate his birthday. The kids enjoyed cupcakes, ice cream, a treasure hunt and pinata and dressing up like pirates. It was a successful party. Everyone had a great time. Pirate Luke crashed afterwards.

September has been a busy month. We are looking forward to new adventures with our three year old. Jeremy has settled into working. I am 33 weeks and counting down.

Happy Birthday Luke!
