Happy 4th and more!

Happy Fourth! We spent the 4th in Oxford with the Sloan family. We went to the Square for the parade and caught beads and candy. It was short and sweet.

On the 3rd, Oxford had a street dance party on the Square. The band Soul played which was the same band that played at our wedding. That was fun for Jeremy and me to hear them play again. Since Luke loves music and dancing, we took him up to the Square. As soon as we got there, he went straight to the dance floor and started dancing. As you can see, he was the only person dancing. He was itching all night to get on stage with the band and play the instruments. He would work his way up the steps getting closer and closer. By the end of the night, the sidewalk and steps were filled with children dancing. This made it very easy for Luke to finally get on stage. He made his way to the drums before I could find him. The drummer gave him an old drum stick which Luke loved. Since I wouldn't let him play the drum during the song, he made due with a police cone.

By the end of the night Luke's dancing shoes were lost and he was tired. He found William Faulkner and climbed up in his lap. It took both Jeremy and myself to get him out and drag him home.

Swimming with Dad and Mom in the "boat" at camp Sloan.

Playing wiffle ball in the pool with Uncle Gus. It was easier to play golf than hit it the correct way.

Feeding all the puppies cheese treats. Luke loves playing, chasing and feeding treats to all the dogs in Oxford. Looks like a lot but 3 were missing.

This was a wonderful and very busy trip. We had a great time playing and visiting with my family. Luke loved being the center of attention and doing bunches of new things like the beach, the "pool" (ocean), Ferris wheels, driving boats, shooting fireworks and dancing to street bands. We had a great 4th! Thanks to my family!
