Last weekend, we went to Louisville for a family birthday party. Luke was once again showered with gifts, cake and all the attention 1 great-grandmother, 1 grandmother, 2 sets of great aunts and uncles, 2 sets of cousins and his parents could give him. Since there are 2 babies arriving soon in the Lehocky-Sylvester family, Luke will have to learn to share the spot light.
Friday, the fire truck visited Luke's school. Since he only goes to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I took him up there to see it. That was all he could talk about. Sunday on the way to church we past the Fire Station. He told us to just drop him off.
Saturday, Luke had his Big Brother class at the hospital. He was very excited about going to the hospital to see the babies. The nurse teaching the class talked about siblings and they were going to be Super Siblings. They even did a Super Sibling dance. We got to tour the Maternity floor and see the nursery. But to Luke's disappointment, there were no babies to see. He learned how to hold the baby. After some help, Luke held the baby doll upside down, by the neck and then poked his eyes. He will be a great big brother. We asked him later, "What do you want to name your baby?" He kept saying "stupo". We finally understood what he was saying. Super Brother! He named himself Super Brother.
Sunday, we went to Evan's Orchard and Pumpkin Patch. We went with some friends and their children Ava Grace and Graham. He got to feed and pet many different animals from llamas, goats, zebras and camels. Strange animals to have on a farm. After that Luke and Ava Grace played on the huge playground. It had tractors the kids could ride. Luke has always had a squatter's right. Once he finds something to play with, he won't get up just to keep anyone else from getting on. After many talks and bribing him, Jeremy was able to get him off the tractor to play in the straw castle, run through the corn maze, visit the pumpkin patch and go down the huge slide before we left. We had a great time and it was the perfect fall outing. Except that it was 85 degrees.
This coming weekend, we will be in Frankfort on Friday. Jeremy will be sworn in by the Supreme Court. Saturday, we are going to Cincinnati to visit the Hollis's and Sunday, a quick trip to Louisville.

I'm gonna try leaving a comment again...Hilarious the things are kids are starting to say. I cracked up at Luke's request to be dropped off at the Fire Station.
Another comment...
I tagged you in my blog post today. If you want to play, just read my post for details...if not, no big deal!
Let's go back to the pumpkin patch when it actually feels like Fall. So I guess you were quick enough with the camera to catch Jeremy on the slide. I kept missing Kevin.
